Applicants applying or reapplying to Texas A&M University-San Antonio must pay a $30 non-refundable application fee. A non-refundable application fee is required for each application submitted, regardless of completion status or admission decision. It is recommended to pay via the ApplyTexas app. Currently, however, payments are also accepted in person (cash, card, check, postal order or postal check, postal order) and are accepted in the Student Business Service Office in room 135 in the building named after campus or by mail to:

Registration fee waiver
Students may be eligible for an admission fee waiver. Please note that checking the application fee waiver flag in the ApplyTexas application does not automatically result in an application fee waiver. Proper documentation is required to qualify for an application fee waiver. Acceptable fee waiver documentation includes:

- exemption from the ACT,
Other exemptions may be considered and will be reviewed upon application. These documents can be submitted to the recruitment office by fax, mail or in person. Applicants who do not submit waiver documentation or do not qualify for a waiver are required to pay an application fee.
Submission of the application and submission of the certificate
The student must complete the ApplyTexas application online atzastosujtexas.org. If multiple applications are submitted, the most recently submitted application invalidates all previously submitted applications, regardless of duration or type. Applicants must submit official transcripts from all participating institutions. For transcripts to be considered official, they must have: an original school official signature and/or school stamp, be printed within one year of the date of submission, be collected directly from the sending institution, or delivered in person in a sealed letter. An envelope from the sending institution. In addition, the Admissions Office will accept electronic documents as official if submitted via a secure electronic transcription service (e.g. E-Scrip, National Student Clearinghouse, Pargamin, Trans Networks). High school transcripts are obtained from the registrar or school counselor through the Texas Records Exchange (TREx). Homeschool transcripts must be notarized to be official, and the certification must be on the transcript and not in a separate appendix. Secondary school leaving certificates may be older than one year from the date of printing, provided that they bear the original signature of a school official and/or school seal, were received directly from the sending institution, or were personally delivered in a sealed envelope by the sending institution.
Foreign documents and credits
Domestic applicants who have already completed classes at a foreign college or university must submit an assessment of foreign qualifications for a specific course to one of the four agencies listed in the "International Admissions" section. Foreign certificates are not required.
Candidates who have participated in a study abroad program may also be asked to provide an assessment of foreign qualifications from one of the five agencies listed in the International Recruitment section.
Recruitment process for first year students
First-year applicants are students who have not been enrolled in any university other than during their school years. The following documents are required to apply for admission:

- Official high school transcript reflecting class completion by the end of freshman year (6 semester transcript)
- Official SAT or ACT scores

Applicants must request an official transcript containing grades from at least the applicant's entire junior year. The transcript should include the following: current class rank, GPA, diploma program, and completed or ongoing classes, if any, to be completed by senior year. Each student who has graduated from high school at the time of application must provide an official high school graduation transcript that includes: date of graduation, graduating class, GPA, diploma program, and final grades for all courses completed. For transcripts to be considered official, they must have: an original school official signature and/or school stamp, be printed within one year of the date of submission, be collected directly from the sending institution, or delivered in person in a sealed letter. Prerequisites for first graders
Texas Uniform Licensing Guidelines
Texas Education Code (TEC) 51.803 - 51.809 requires that all freshmen seeking admission to a Texas public four-year institution must meet one of the following college readiness standards in order to be considered for admission:
- Submit a transcript showing that the student has completed state or Distinguished/Advanced High School recommended programs; Or
- Submit a transcript showing that the student is graduating from a state Foundation High School program.
- * Students graduating from the Foundation program must provide proof of outstanding achievement to be eligible for automatic admission to the top 25%.

Out-of-town and homeschooled students
International students and homeschoolers are exempt from the unified admissions policy.
Texas private high school students
Students attending a Texas private high school must apply for a state high school tuition waiver in one of the following ways if their program is not listed on the transcript:

Applicants attending a Texas private high school may be tax-exempt if their coursework is equivalent in content and rigor to one of the state's graduate programs. Test
Applicants must complete the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or the American College Test (ACT). Students are recommended to complete the SAT or ACT in the spring of their first year in high school. Results from later exams are acceptable if submitted before the first year admissions deadline. For admission, Texas A&M-San Antonio considers students' highest grades on all SAT or ACT days to determine the highest possible total score, also known as a superscore.

Review of the Recruitment Committee
Candidates who do not meet the automatic eligibility requirements may still be considered for admission through the Admissions Committee review process. The undergraduate admissions committee checks the applicant's high school grade, standardized test scores, and high school coursework. The Committee will also consider other factors such as:

refusal of admission
Candidates who have been refused admission due to failure to meet the admission requirements for undergraduate studies have the right to appeal this decision. Objections will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will not be accepted after June 30 (winter term), December 1 (summer term) or April 30 (summer term). Filing an appeal does not guarantee a change of admission decision. Applicants who have extenuating circumstances or who have improved their academic qualifications may appeal. To consider an appeal against an admission decision, applicants must submit the following documents to the Admissions Office:

- A personal statement outlining the reason for the nomination and the success plan for A&M-San Antonio
- Updated information about academic qualifications (official high school transcript; test scores).

ACT residual test
Texas A&M University-San Antonio (A&M-SA) offers alternative admission tests for applicants who have applied to the university and have been unable to take the SAT or ACT exam by the state's time limit. ACT residuals are valid only at the institution where the applicant is taking the test. Therefore, the exam is only available to candidates who have applied to A&M-SA. No student or high school reports will be generated and additional score reports cannot be ordered from A&M-SA or ACT to be sent to another institution. Students cannot retake the remaining exam until 60 days have elapsed since the last exam, but may take the national ACT immediately. If you breach the 60-day limit, your retest results will be automatically canceled with no refund. Residual exams may only be used for admission purposes at A&M-SA, the ACT residual exam is not accepted for NCAA prequalification, cannot be used for TSI exceptions, and cannot be used in scholarship applications.
Registration for ACT Residual Testing
Registration information and exam fees are collected by the university. Students must make an appointment with the test center and pay a non-refundable fee. Once scheduled, the exam center works with the admissions office to verify the student's eligibility. The ACT allows test takers to use a calculator on a math test but not on other tests. Using the calculator is optional. All problems can be solved without a calculator. test day
On the day of the exam, you should go to the building and room indicated when registering for the exam. You must bring a current photo ID (issued by your school, employer or city/state/federal agency). The test consists of four parts: English, Maths, Reading and Science. The actual test time is 2 hours and 55 minutes. Candidates should allocate 4 hours for the exam. This includes the check-in process, reading the test instructions, and taking a break.
TEST RESULTS
Students do not receive a copy of their test scores, but test scores are forwarded to the Admissions Office for admissibility checks. After the test, students will be notified by post and email of their admission decision. Students can view their admission checklist score through their student portal.

Transfer applicants have completed high school and are studying at a university. Development courses and vocational/technical courses are not considered academic and are not transferable.
